Holiday decorating contest

The Conejo Recreation and Park District invited all residents to get into the holiday spirit and participate in the inaugural "Holiday Homes" outdoor decorating contest.

Residents are encouraged to light up and decorate their homes for the holiday season.

There are two categories, for those who decorate their homes themselves, and for professionallydecorated homes. ating contest

The entry fee is $10. The contest is open only to residents living in Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, and the Ventura County portion of Westlake Village.

A double-decker bus carrying carolers will visit each of the homes for judging on Fri., Dec. 14. Prizes will be left on the doorsteps of the winners.
