Teen substance abuse seminar is next week

Next week, in the third of a series of eight seminars for parents who want to better understand child and adolescent disorders, Dr. Stazan K. Sina will lead a presentation on teen substance abuse.

The Conejo Council ParentTeacher Association, in conjunction with the Thousand Oaks High School PTA, has organized the seminars with Sina. They look at anxiety, eating disorders and other topics.

Each monthly seminar runs about 90 minutes and will cover diagnosis, parent support and related treatment considerations. There will also be a questionandanswer session.

"Substance Abuse and Your Teen" is Tues., Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Thousand Oaks High School Library.

Admission is free, but space is limited.
