Two shows hold auditions for 2008 at Conejo Players

Conejo Players Theatre will hold auditions for two upcoming shows.

"The King and I" auditions will be at 7:30 p.m. Sun. and Mon., Nov. 25 and 26 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Callbacks will be at 7:30 p.m. Tues., Nov. 27.

Auditions for "Honk! Jr." will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sun., Mon. and Tues., Dec. 2 through 4 at the theater. Callbacks will be Wed., Dec. 5.

For "The King and I" bring a resume or list experience on back of audition form.

For both shows, prepare 16 bars of a standard musical theater song--no pop music--and bring sheet music in the proper key or an instrumental CD recording. A pianist will be provided.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to perform a combination of dance moves. Actors will also do semi-cold readings from the script.

Appointments are not necessary. There is no pay.

Rehearsals for "The King and I" will be Dec. 3 through Jan. 18. Bring a list of conflicts with rehearsal schedule. Performances will take place Jan. 18 through Feb. 16. For more information, call Deirdre Parmenter, director, at (805) 376-1209.
