CLU to hold Kwanzaa celebration

California Lutheran University will hold a Kwanzaa celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., Dec. 1 in Lundring Events Center in the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center at Mountclef Boulevard and Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.

The annual event will feature a Kwanzaa ceremony performed by CLU students, gospel music and dancers. Children from the NAACP Saturday School will give presentations and vendors will sell African and African American food, art and crafts.

The public is invited to attend the free event and learn about Kwanzaa, which is observed annually from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1. The holiday celebrates family, community and culture. For more information, call (805) 493-3323.
