23 Freeway needs speed limit signs

Traveling the 23 Freeway on a daily basis, I've noticed that there are no speed limit signs.

Every time a Californian drives through a construction zone, there's always a sign stating, "Speed Reduced During Construction."

Sometimes there's even a sign stating that the fine is doubled in a construction zone.

Why are there no such signs on the 23 Freeway? If you drive that route, you'll notice that people are driving on a very narrow two-lane road with merging construction trucks. I don't have statistics regarding accidents, but I have witnessed three, and one was a fatality. I've traveled at 65 mph only because the traffic keeps pushing me. There have been a couple of fatalities and numerous accidents because of the lack of signs.

Can someone please direct this letter to the responsible party so that we can have a safer 23 Freeway? Please, let's get signs that say, "Speed Limit 55 mph."
