Genealogical Society to discuss Pocahontas

The Conejo Valley Genealogical Society will meet from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Tues., Nov. 20 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Nancy Kilbourn will present a three-part program about the Powhatan Indians and Pocahontas. She will cover the background of the culture and discuss Pocahontas and Native American genealogical research.

Kilbourn is on the state speakers staff for the Daughters of the American Revolution and is president of the Colonial Dames 17th Century, Aguila Chase Chapter, Santa Barbara. She has been researching genealogy since 1962.
