Kiwanis to sell raffle tickets, handcrafted gifts at holiday boutique

The Kiwanis Club of Conejo Valley will host its annual holiday boutique from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Nov. 24 at the Thousand Oaks Inn, 75 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Admission is free; light snacks will be available.

"The Kiwanis boutique is unique," said Ken Walker, club president, "because it offers twice the giving. Not only can shoppers purchase handcrafted gifts, but all the proceeds from their purchase benefit the many youth projects the Kiwanis Club of Conejo Valley has planned for this fiscal year."

The club is selling raffle tickets in advance for $5 each. Tickets are available from club members, at the club's Tuesday meetings, at the boutique or from www.CVKiwanis.org. The raffle drawing will take place at 4 p.m. on the day of the boutique.

Ticket holders need not be present to win.

Santa Claus will be in attendance for children who want to sit on his lap, discuss their Christmas wishes and have their picture taken. Photos will be posted online for families to download at no extra charge.

The Kiwanis Club of Conejo Valley is part of Kiwanis International, a service organization which supports children and young adults in need throughout the world.

The club meets at 11:45 a.m. Tuesdays at the Thousand Oaks Inn.
