Blotter Newbury Park The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at the times, dates and places shown: A male, 21, at 11:06 p.m. Oct. 30 on the 101 Freeway, east of Ventu Park Road; and a male, 46, at 2:25 a.m. Nov. 3 at Calle Turquesa and Paseo Esmerelda. On suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the following were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 22, at 8 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road; a male, 35, at 3:16 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 2800 block of Camino Dos Rios; and a male, 57, at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road. A dwelling in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive was broken into and burglarized between midnight and 8 a.m. Nov. 1. Somebody tried to break into a trailer on Nov. 1 or 2 in the 900 block of Lawrence Drive. Between 10 p.m. Oct. 31 and noon Nov. 1, somebody forcibly entered a vehicle in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, but nothing was stolen. A vehicle mirror was vandalized on Ventu Park Road, about 100 yards south of Ramona Drive between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. For selling items door-to-door without a license, a male, 43, was cited and released at 6:26 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue. Thousand Oaks The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at the times, dates and places shown: A female, 61, at 10:53 p.m. Nov. 2 on Janss Road (the substance in this incident was prescription medicine); a male, 26, at 2:46 a.m. Nov. 3 on the northbound 23 Freeway at Avenida de Los Arboles; a male, 41, at 11:39 p.m. Nov. 4 at La Granada and Janss roads; and a male, 18, at 3:04 p.m. Nov. 6 at Erbes Road and Foursite Lane (suspected of being under the influence of both alcohol and prescription drugs). On suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the following were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 41, at 12:56 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 500 block of N. Moorpark Road (the subject was also charged with committing a commercial burglary in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive and possession of burglary tools); and a female, 22, at 10 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive. A 79-year-old victim was defrauded of more than $400 during daytime on Oct. 31 in the 200 block of Sequoia Court. For leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging information, a male, 19, was at 12:23 p.m. Oct. 31 cited and released in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue. The mishap occurred, however, at Lynn and Heavenly Valley roads. A male, 40, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and furnishing it to others at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 7 in the 100 block of Skyline Drive. A female, 29, was cited and released for possession of four Vicodin pills without a prescription at the same time and place. Burglaries of vehicles were reported in the following: Between 6:30 and 8 a.m. Nov. 2 in the first block of Amgen Center Drive; the night of Nov. 1 in the 3600 block of Radcliffe Road (two unlocked vehicles); the night of Nov. 1 in the 3600 block of Gingerwood Court (unlocked); between 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 2 in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road (window smashed, felony theft); between 10 p.m. Nov. 1 and 4 a.m. Nov. 2 in the 800 block of Erbes Road (unlocked); the night of Nov. 3 in the 1700 block of Pixton Street (window broken, TV and wall bracket stolen); between 1:40 and 9:15 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 1600 block of Sandcroft Street (shattered window, purse stolen); night of Nov. 3 in the 1600 block of Abbotsbury Street (unlocked, Blackberry phone and binoculars stolen); Nov. 3 or 4 in the 2100 block of Marsh Brook Road (unlocked, carrying case stolen); Nov. 3 or 4 in the 100 block of E. Potrero Road (unlocked, laptop and iPod stolen); between noon and 5:25 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles; and Nov. 4 in The Oaks mall parking lot (window broken, purse and clothing stolen). In the 2800 block of White Ridge Place, two dwellings were broken into and burglarized during daytime on Nov. 2. An apartment in the 2600 block of Conejo Canyon Court was broken into and burglarized between 8:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Nov. 2. Somebody tried to break into a home in the 1300 block of E. Hillcrest Drive but nothing was stolen the afternoon of Nov. 1. Between 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 900 block of Calle Castano, somebody tried to forcibly enter a home. A vandal damaged a home in the 1100 block of Turtle Creek Lane on Nov. 1. Two vehicles were vandalized in the 2500 block of Vista Wood Circle on Nov. 2. A park kiosk and bench were spray painted with graffiti at Dover and Hendrix avenues the night of Nov. 3. A church was targeted with graffiti the night of Nov. 3 in the first block of N. Oakview Drive. A vehicle was vandalized (door and exterior mirror kicked) between 1:45 and 1:50 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 400 block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 22, was cited and released for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana at 4 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive. Another male, 20, was similarly cited at 10:06 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 4300 block of Avenida Amelgado. An alleged shoplifter, male, 18, was caught at Best Buy at 8:56 p.m. Nov. 2. On charges of possession of stolen property and shoplifting at 2:11 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive, two females, 19 and 21, were arrested. At Bridgegate Road and Westlake Boulevard, two males, 19, and 18, were at 12:22 p.m. Nov. 6 cited for graffiti vandalism. The 19year-old was also cited for resisting arrest by running from police, and the 18-year-old was also cited for possession of marijuana. Somebody stole a purse from a shopping cart in the 1300 block of Moorpark Road at 4 p.m. Oct. 29. At 4:53 p.m. Nov. 3 at Hodencamp Road and Irving Drive, a male, 54, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. A female, 49, was in a public place and allegedly too intoxicated to care for herself, so she was arrested and charged with being drunk at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 4 on Moorpark Road at Brazil Street. At 2:23 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 1300 block of N. Moorpark Road, a male, 46, was arrested and charged with public intoxication. A male, 24, was arrested on charges of public intoxication at 10:57 p.m. Nov. 6 at Avenida Del Platino and Calle Turquesa.
For drinking an alcoholic beverage in public, the following were cited and released: A male, 51, and a female, 49, at 1:45 p.m. Nov. 2 in the first block of Rancho Drive; a male, 39, at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 3 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive; three males, 26, 39 and 45, at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 1400 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard; four males, 37, 39, 42 and 48, and a female, 39, at 3 p.m. Nov. 7 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive. |
