Newbury Park

On suspicion of drunk driving the following were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 25, at 1:59 a.m. Oct. 28 at Avenida de La Plata and Calle Diamonte; a male, 68, at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at Lynn Road and Wendy Drive; and a male, 26, at 10:58 p.m. Oct. 31 in the 700 block of Wendy Drive (after a citizen reported seeing a car speeding and hitting a curb).

On suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the following were arrested at the times, dates and places shown: A male, 19, at 3:19 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road; two males, 18 and 19, at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 27 after they were detained when authorities responded to a burglar alarm at Sequoia Middle School (the suspects were also cited for attempted burglary); and two males, 21 and 22, at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road.

Between 11 p.m. Oct. 25 and 2:20 a.m. Oct. 26, a home was burglarized in the 3000 block of Shirley Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Somebody entered an unlocked garage in the 800 block of Deerfield Place the night of Oct. 26 and stole a purse from an unlocked vehicle.

Between 3:25 and 3:30 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 500 block of Knollwood Drive, somebody removed a window screen and attempted to burglarize a home.

A home was broken into and burglarized between 3 and 11 a.m. Oct. 30 in the 500 block of Bella Drive.

Someone entered a garage in the 400 block of Blackhawk Drive with the intent to commit burglary at 3:30 a.m. Oct. 25.

Although no property was stolen, a break-in occurred at a dwelling in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive at 12:43 a.m. Oct. 29.

Suspected of possessing a deadly weapon and burglary tools, a male, 19, was arrested on the afternoon of Oct. 24 in the 1900 block of Newbury Road.

Vehicle burglaries were reported at the following locations: the 2000 block of Warble Street the night of Oct. 23; between Oct. 19 and 21 in the 100 block of Dorena Drive (unlocked); and between 11 p.m. Oct. 27 and 1 a.m. Oct. 28 in the 1700 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (unlocked, stolen property valued at $200).

A male, 24, was arrested at 3:34 a.m. Oct. 28 on suspicion of prowling in backyards in the 900 block of Meadowcrest Street. When detained at Ranchwood Street and Meadowcrest, the suspect was also cited for possession of smoking devices commonly used with drugs.

A male, 34, was arrested on shoplifting charges at the Target store on the evening of Oct. 24.

A male, 21, was placed under citizen's arrest for disturbing the peace at 9:17 p.m. Oct. 31 in the 1000 block of Antelope Place. When police arrived, he was cited and released.

A possible burglar fled after the owner of a vehicle confronted a person attempting to open the car at 1:52 a.m. Oct. 28 in the 4900 block of Via Camino.

Tires were slashed between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 100 block of Reino Road. The loss was $800.

A car mirror was smashed on the night of Oct. 30 in the 3000 block of Charlotte Street.

Thousand Oaks

On suspicion of drunk driving, a female, 30, was arrested at 11 p.m. Oct. 29 at Avenida de Las Flores and Erbes Road (where she was allegedly found passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle).

There was an apparent drug bust involving two males and a female at Moorpark and Janss roads at 4:58 p.m. Oct. 19.

On suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, a male, 26, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue.

Two people stole a golf cart valued at $5,000 at 1:52 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

The following vehicle burglaries were reported: Between 10:30 and 10:51 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane; the night of Oct. 25 in the 3000 block of Big Sky Drive (attempt failed but vehicle had damage); the afternoon of Oct. 27 in the 400 block of Avenida de Los Arboles (unlocked); between 10:55 and 11:15 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; between Oct. 27 and 29 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road (briefcase stolen through open window); the night of Oct. 29 in the 100 block of McAfee Court (weather stripping on door was damaged); the night of Oct. 30 in the 400 block of Thunderhead Street (unlocked); 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 300 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles; the afternoon of Oct. 31 in the Janss Marketplace parking lot (two subjects observed but not caught); and Oct. 30 or 31 in the 2300 block of Magda Circle (unlocked).

A robbery involving force occurred in the 200 block of Wilbur Road at 11:20 p.m. Oct. 30. The victim was a male, 37.

At 2:54 a.m. Oct. 25, a female, 43, was arrested on charges of possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a device for smoking it.

A male, 19, was arrested in connection with a vehicle theft the afternoon of Oct. 27 in the 300 block of Calle Jazmin. Another male, 20, was arrested and charged with driving it. The theft occurred, however, in the 1000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

Something was stolen from Sunset Hills Country Club on Oct. 27 or 28. No signs of forced entry were observed.

Nothing was stolen but a home was illegally entered the late afternoon or early evening of Oct. 29 in the 1300 block of Norman Avenue.

After he was allegedly involved in a traffic accident Oct. 26, a male, 38, was cited and released at East Valley Station for hit-and-run at 11 a.m. Oct. 30.

A female, 46, was caught allegedly shoplifting at a store in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road at 3 p.m. Oct. 28.

Rubber checks bounced after they were cashed at a business in the 700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on Oct. 5 or 6.

Somebody entered an office cubicle in the first block of Amgen Center Drive on Oct. 24 or 25 and stole items valued at $1,500.

Unknown perpetrator(s) attempted to break into a home between 5 and 9:45 a.m. Oct. 25 in the first block of Sunset Drive.

Someone confiscated a victim's vehicle keys in the early evening of Oct. 24, then burglarized the vehicle in the 2500 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A thief stole a purse from a shopping cart the afternoon of Oct. 25 in the 1800 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A suspect was arrested after allegedly ignoring a police officer's orders while an investigation was underway the morning of Oct. 26 at Wildwood Park.

Halloween decorations were stolen from a frontyard in the 3000 block of Frontier Avenue the night of Oct. 26.

A mailbox was vandalized with gang graffiti on Oct. 26 or 27 in the 2800 block of Calle Quebracho.

For shoplifting, a male, 19, was cited and released at 4:54 p.m. Oct. 30 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

After he was found allegedly passed out on a sidewalk at 5:36 p.m. Oct. 31 at Janss Road and Suffolk Avenue, a male, 30, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

A male, 41, was arrested at 2:53 p.m. Oct. 25 on suspicion of being drunk in public in the 1100 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

On suspicion of drinking an alcoholic beverage in public, the following were cited and released at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 48, at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive; a male, 51, at 5:55 p.m. Oct. 26 at Rancho Road and T.O. Boulevard; two males, both 48, at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 27 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive; two males, 21 and 26, at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 31 in La Paz Park; a male, 39, at 5:35 p.m. Oct. 13 in the 1400 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard; and two males, 39 and 41, at 4:10 p.m. Oct. 27 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 19, was cited and released for possession of alcohol in La Paz Park at 11:40 a.m. Oct. 31.

Westlake/T.O.

On suspicion of drunk driving, a male, 26, was at 12:34 a.m. Oct. 26 arrested at Hampshire Road and Westlake Boulevard.

Multiple businesses in the 3700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard were broken into and burglarized between Oct. 27 and 29.

Valuables were stolen from a vehicle the afternoon of Oct. 27 in the 800 block of S. Westlake Boulevard. There were no signs of forced entry.

Someone purchased a computer in the 1100 block of Via Colinas with a stolen credit card between July 30 and Oct. 22.
