Jewish children's club opens in Agoura

Chabad of the Conejo has formed the Youth Zone, a new Jewish children's club for ages 6 to 11. The goal of the club is to provide children from all affiliations, temples and nonaffiliated families with a fun and meaningful Jewish experience.

The Youth Zone will host a carnival kickoff on Sun., Nov. 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Chabad of the Conejo, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

The club will meet monthly and will offer a variety of workshops, festivals, art projects, woodwork, trips and festivals. At the same time, club members will learn about Jewish-related topics, specifically as they relate to making the world a better place for all.

Mitzvah Missions will involve the children in helping those in need and bringing cheer to the elderly.
