Calendar kids design posters

ART WINNERS- Lang Ranch Elementary School second-grader Jonathan Sham, above left, and Westlake Elementary School fourth-grader Grace Levin, 9, above right, are honored for their first-place winning posters during an awards presentation by the Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) at Camarillo City Hall last week. Jonathan is joined by a presenter, Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks. Los Cerritos Middle School student Grace Ng, below, and her mother, Noreen, display Grace's third-place winning poster and others by the Ng family. Awards were presented to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Firstplace winners received a check for $250; second-place winners got $200, and third-place winners brought home $150. First-place winners' artwork will appear in the commission's calendar.
