Book signing at Hallmark

Carol Aebersold will sign copies of her new children's book, "Elf on the Shelf," from 5 to 7 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 15 at Sadie's Hallmark, 501 S. Reino Road, Newbury Park.

Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell have teamed with illustrator Coë Steinwart to produce a picture book that answers the question of how Santa knows when children are naughty or nice.

The hardbound book comes with its own vintage-style pixie elf seated on a shelf in a keepsake box.
