Physics and astronomy seminar coming Saturday to UCLA Extension

Scientists from the UCLA department of physics and astronomy will present an extension seminar, "What's new in physics 2007," from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Nov. 3 in Dodd Hall room 147 on the UCLA campus, 405 Hilgard Ave., Los Angeles.

The program includes presentations on dark matter, an astrophysicist's journey to Antarctica, the biophysics of hearing and accelerator physics.

The fee is $65, no credit; $130, credit; $32 noncredit for full-time student with photo ID; $80 credit for full-time student with photo ID.
