Blotter Newbury Park A male, 29, was at 2:11 a.m. Oct. 20 arrested in the 600 block of Paseo Vista on suspicion of drunk driving. At the times, dates and places shown, the following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance: A female, 18, and a male, 26, at 8:50 a.m. Oct. 16 in the 2200 block of Michael Drive (the latter also cited for possession of a smoking device); a female, 34, and a male, 36, the morning of Oct. 17 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road; a male, 22, at 9:40 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 500 block of Avenida de La Plata (also cited for possession of marijuana while driving); a female, 21, at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 2300 block of Borchard Road; two males, 21 and 22, the evening of Oct. 19 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road (the former also cited for possession of paraphernalia and the latter also cited for resisting arrest); a male, 26, at 4:44 p.m. Oct. 23 at a local hospital after he was treated by paramedics for symptoms of a methamphetamine overdose in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; a male, 20, at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 800 block of Lawrence Drive; and a female, 44, at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road. Something was stolen from Newbury Park High School on Oct. 18 or 19. A male, 27, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. The loss was more than $400 after something was stolen from a yard in the 5200 block of Via Capote on Oct. 19 or 20. Somebody stole mail in the 1600 block of Newbury Road on Oct. 9 or 10. Burglaries of vehicles were reported in the following: 900 block of Golden Crest Avenue on Oct. 19 or 20 (unlocked); 3000 block of Deer Valley between 11 a.m. Oct. 19 and 5 a.m. Oct. 20 (unlocked); and items were stolen from the back of a pickup on Oct. 20 or 21 in the 700 block of Springwood Street. Somebody entered an apartment through a window and stole property between 5:23 and 5:28 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A windshield was smashed and eggs were thrown at a vehicle in the 3900 block of San Marcos Court between 12:30 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 20. Felony vandalism occurred in the 3600 block of Erinlea Avenue on Oct. 17 or 18. The victims were the city of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District. A vandal willfully and maliciously damaged the property of a female, 61, during daytime on Oct. 18 in the 2300 block of Borchard Road. A door was vandalized in the 3700 block of Cabrillo Avenue on Oct. 23 or 24. A vandal smashed the window of a business in the 2600 block of Lavery Court the night of Oct. 18. A storage container in the 3400 block of Old Conejo Road was targeted by burglar(s) on Oct. 21. Thousand Oaks The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at the times, dates and places shown: A male, 31, at 11:56 p.m. Oct. 16 on Lynn Road at the 101 Freeway (following a traffic collision); a male, 51, at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 2200 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard; a male, 43, at Thousand Oaks Boulevard near Dallas Drive; a male, 42, at 8:36 p.m. Oct. 18 at Marmon Avenue, south of T.O. Boulevard; and a male, 30, at 1:31 a.m. Oct. 21 at Olsen Road and the 23 Freeway. At the times, dates and places shown, the following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance: A male, 20, at 9:32 a.m. Oct. 19 in the 1700 block of Fordham Drive (also cited for possession of a loaded syringe containing heroin and meth-amphetamine); a male, 37, at 7:50 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 100 block of N. Skyline Drive (also cited for possession of a glass smoking pipe); and a male, 19, at 12:12 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 2300 block of Camino Calandria. In the 3800 block of Cresthaven the morning of Oct. 22, a male, 36, allegedly tried to enter a home without permission. The suspect was also in possession of a vehicle reported as stolen. Two stolen credit cards were inside the vehicle. He was arrested on several charges. Jewelry was stolen from a store in the first block of Hampshire Road between 11:45 a.m. and 1:22 p.m. Oct. 24. On charges of possession of alcohol and marijuana in a vehicle, a male, 18, was cited at 11:20 p.m. Oct. 21 on Moorpark Road at Rolling Oaks Drive. For possession of marijuana in a vehicle, a male, 19, was cited at 1 a.m. Oct. 20 on Hodencamp Road at Hillcrest Drive. A female, 38, was taken into custody for being drunk in public at 9:54 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 600 block of N. Moorpark Road. The Vons grocery store on Avenida de Los Arboles was targeted by a shoplifter the afternoon of Oct. 21. A business in the 2200 block of N. Lynn Road was broken into and burglarized between Oct. 27 and 29. Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 3400 block of Indian Mesa Drive between May 1 and Oct. 18. No signs of forced entry were observed. Somebody shot at a store window in the 1300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard the early morning of Oct. 22. The damage was $600. Two trucks and a wall at a business on Pleasant Way between Oak View and Live Oak were spray painted with graffiti the night of Oct. 21. A female, 38, was allegedly so intoxicated that she was unable to care for her own safety or the safety of others at 1:10 p.m. Oct. 18 in the first block of E. Hillcrest Drive. She was also obstructing pedestrians. She was arrested and charged with public drunkenness. A known suspect challenged a male, 63, to fight at 11:20 a.m. Oct. 20 in the 2600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. A bank bag and cash were stolen from an unlocked drawer in an office in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive between Oct. 19 and 23. Colina Middle School was targeted with gang graffiti between Oct. 19 and 24. Vandalism damages exceeded $400 after an incident between noon and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 300 block of Eric Place. Concrete steps were vandalized at an apartment complex in the 200 block of E. Wilbur Road the morning of Oct. 19. A female, 34, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 6:23 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 48, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication in the 400 block of N. Moorpark Road at 7:22 p.m. Oct. 18. A male, 46, was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 20 on Indian Mesa Drive. For allegedly making criminal threats the early afternoon of Oct. 12 in the 600 block of Paige Lane, a female, 19, was arrested at 2:50 p.m. in the 700 block. A water tank was targeted with spray painted graffiti between Oct. 18 and 22 in the 2300 block of Mountain Crest Drive. A business was vandalized between Oct. 15 and 19 in the 1300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Four tires were slashed and a windshield was damaged after vandalism in the 400 block of Arcturus the night of Oct. 21. Somebody ignited a firecracker or similar device in a mailbox between Oct. 20 and 22 in the 900 block of La Cresta Drive. A business was burglarized (no signs of forced entry) the night of Oct. 18 in the 1500 block of N. Moorpark Road. A home in the 100 block of Sunset Drive was broken into and burglarized between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Somebody was caught trying to steal merchandise from Macy's on Oct. 23. Somebody tried to break into a business on Oct. 13 or 14 in the 2900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. From a front yard in the 900 block of Calle Tulipan, a Halloween decoration was stolen the night of Oct. 19. Burglaries of vehicles were reported and involved the following: Nothing was stolen but a vehicle window was smashed between 10 p.m. Oct. 21 and 1 a.m. Oct. 22 in the 500 block of Hodencamp; a rear window was smashed and a purse was stolen between 8 and 8:40 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane; and numerous vehicles on Oct. 23 or 24 in the Rancho Conejo gated community. Two apartments were vandalized and graffiti was spray painted throughout the complex on Oct. 23 or 24 in the 400 block of Gainsborough Road. For drinking alcohol in public the following subjects were cited and released at the times, dates and places shown: A male, 51, at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Rancho Road and T.O. Boulevard; two males, 28 and 47, at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 20 in La Paz Park; a male, 48, at 5:15 p.m. Oct. 20 at Hampshire Road and Royal Oaks; and a male, 49, at 5:55 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 100 block of N. Skyline Drive. Westlake/T.O. A cellphone and leather jacket were stolen from an unlocked car between 8:45 and 9:05 p.m. Oct. 19 at an unspecified address. The night of Oct. 21 in the 2200 block of Townsgate Road, a vehicle was broken into and burglarized. |
