Parents should stop staying quiet about the issues Who are mom and dad? They're the people who raised me and loved me and sacrificed for me. That's who they are. It's a title of affection, a title of honor. Being a mom or dad is the hardest and most rewarding job there is. And now, in schools, those precious names are being banned. What happened to the days when it was a no-no to say a cuss word in front of people? Now it's like being a mom or dad is offensive. But what if you're a mom and dad and a husband or wife? What is this world coming to that there are those kind of "family" people around? Do we want to keep going down this path? Each decision we make, each step we make will have an impact on our families and on our country. Do we want to keep in step with the liberals and say, "It's okay with me that you want to take my name out of the school" or "It's okay with me that my children can share a locker room with whoever wants to be in there," or "It's okay with me that my 5-year-old is learning about homosexuality," or "It's okay with me that my children can learn about having a sex change"? If you don't do anything, that's what you're saying. You can also take a step in the other direction and say enough is enough. Look at the new law that was signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and let him know how you feel. It's on WorldNetDaily.com. It won't be hard to miss since it's titled "Mom and dad banished from California." Take a step. Write a letter, make a phone call, have your children write letters and draw pictures about how important their families are, tell your friends and family in other states to write, too, because this will affect the textbooks their children will read in the near future. What would this world be like without moms and dads and husbands and wives? In a span of about 15 minutes this morning, my son called me mom at least five times.
It's a word that made my heart both happy and sad. What
if he couldn't call me mom anymore? | |||||
