Church Women host World Community Day
Topic is 'Embracing Justice Under God's Tent'

Church Women United of the Conejo will host World Community Day Fri., Nov. 2 at Westlake Lutheran Church, 2630A Townsgate Road, Westlake Village. Coffee/social time begins at 10 a.m. with a service at 10:30 a.m.

The event theme is "Embracing Justice Under God's Tent."

The Rev. Kristina Peterson and the Rev. Dathleen Clark, members of the CWU Celebrations Committee, designed the worship service with focus on the concerns of homelessness, immigration and responses to disaster based on scripture.

The meditation "We Have Names" describes those who have been resident aliens in strange lands, as well as those exiled and uprooted.
