Business seminar will offer secrets for 21st century success

Managers, sales professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and graduate students are invited to the "Good to Great: Secrets to Success@Work Conference" from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fri., Nov. 2 at Calvary Community Church, 5495 Via Rocas, Westlake Village.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. Continental breakfast and lunch are included.

Ten top business leaders will talk live about the tools to succeed in the 21st century. Guest speakers include Ned Colletti, L.A. Dodgers general manager; Marcia Lansdon, WaMu senior vice president; Dr. Terry Schroeder, head coach men's Olympic water polo team; Bill Redell, head coach of Oaks Christian High School; Ed Bjurstrom, former executive vice president of Amgen Worldwide Operations; and Dr. David Sullivan, Countrywide executive vice president.

Also, BBC award-winning filmmaker Sam Tyler will preview and narrate his new film with Jim Collins, author of bestselling "Good to Great"; founder/ CEO Herb Kelleher of Southwest Airlines and Howard Schultz from Starbucks will also appear.

Topics include "Releasing high performance through trust capital," "Bring your best game now," "Stress management in the midst of chaos," "Career pathing on purpose" and "Starting up a successful home-based business."
