School sponsors health lecture set for tonight

The PTA of Madrona Elementary School will sponsor "Got Health?", a health education, disease prevention and nutrition lecture at 7 p.m. tonight, Thurs., Oct. 18 in the school auditorium, 612 Camino Manzanas, Thousand Oaks.

The speaker is Tami Hulcher, president and CEO of Ola Loa Inc. She is a nationally-recognized health educator, writer, former radio cohost, and wellness coordinator for healthcare professionals.

The talk will discuss right food choices, what creates a healthy body and immune system, food additives, the correlation between nutrition and good health, as well as what is in food and why it makes people sick.
