Yoga for youth fundraiser set

Worldrenowned yoga instructor Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa is coming to True Yoga in Westlake Village on Sat., Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. to help raise money for the nonprofit Yoga for Youth.

The Temple Bhajan Band will lead guests in Kirtan (singing and chanting), followed by a Kundalini yoga practice with Khalsa.

The evening will include a vegetarian meal and silent auction with such items as jewelry by local artisans, clothing donated by Lululemon, and yoga classes.

Admission is $60 and all proceeds go to benefit Yoga for Youth.

Yoga for Youth provides urban youth with tools for selfdiscovery that foster hop, discipline, and respect for one's community. The organization sponsors many programs for young people, including outreach programs to youth in juvenile detention centers.
