Ex-Raiderette to discuss her life and religion at Jewish Academy

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host Sandy Wolshin in a program titled "The Kosher Cheerleader: From Raiderette to Jewette" at 8 p.m. Mon., Oct. 22 at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

Wolshin, an actress, comedian and former cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders, will discuss her experiences as the daughter of a Russian/gypsy mother and Jewish/atheist father, her life as a cheerleader, her studies in Judaism and her conversion.

Wolshin has appeared in theater, movies and television and has performed at the Comedy Store, Improv, Laugh Factory and for troops in Guam and Okinawa.

Admission is $10 advanced paid reservations, $13 at door. Reservations can be made at www.jewishacademy.com.
