Ed Hogan receives Animal Action Award

Ed Hogan, co-founder of the Hogan Family Foundation, was presented a 2007 Animal Action Award during World Animal Day in Santa Monica earlier this month. The award was presented by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

The Hogans were recognized for their 15 Hands Horse Rescue Sanctuary and St. Francis Rangers program that operate from the foundation's 22-acre ranch in Hidden Valley.

The sanctuary is devoted to the care and rehabilitation of homeless, abused and neglected horses. The rangers program provides an opportunity for disadvantaged children to ride and bond with the animals while learning compassion and respect for them.

The Hogans own and operate Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks.
