Bands will play for charity

Bands from the Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks area will perform at 7:38 p.m. tomorrow, Fri., Oct. 19, at The Verity Room, 7503 Topanga Canyon Blvd., in Canoga Park.

The bands are The Sheds, AOK, Morningview, The Braces and The Good Cheer. The groups will raise money for Agoura Hills resident and musician Alex Berson, 12, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The money will be donated to the cancer charity chosen by Alex, a student at Lindero Canyon Middle School.

Members of The Sheds brothers Mac, Evan and Morgan Miller, have made guitar pick necklaces that say "Rock for Alex." The necklaces will be sold at the show for $5.

Tickets are $10. To order a necklace, e-mail Him.miller@roadrunner.net.
