Dentist wins master award

James Thompson

The Academy of General Dentistry recently presented James Thompson, DDS, with the Mastership Award at the academy's annual meeting in San Diego. Thompson is a Thousand Oaks resident.

To receive the award, a dentist completes 1,100 hours of continuing education in the 16 areas of dentistry, including 44 hours to hands-on skills and techniques.

The academy is a professional association of more than 35,000 general dentists.

Thompson graduated from Northwestern University and practices at 1000 Newbury Road, Ste. 280, Newbury Park.
