Meet the artist: Mark Tanner

The New West Symphony will present "Meet the Artist" with Mark Tanner at 9:30 a.m. Thurs., Oct. 18 in the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Boris Brott, symphony conductor, will interview Tanner.

Tanner is a cellist with the symphony. He received music degrees from Yale University and has performed with orchestras throughout the United States.

The event is free, and reservations are not required.
