Santa Barbara courthouse serves as backdrop for art

The ninth annual Santa Barbara Festival of Art will take place Fri. through Sun., Oct. 12 to 14 at the sunken gardens of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse at Anapamu and Anacapa streets. The festival starts at 5 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Musician, artist and composer Peter Clark will join Solstice "live artist" Pali-X-Mano and more than 100 juried fine, decorative and visual artists from around the country. Other musicians appearing include the Tearaways, Luis Manos, Somos Son and the Midnight Band.

Admission is free for the first two hours of each day with no inandout privileges, then $10 thereafter per day with in-and-out privileges. A three-day "best value" weekend pass is also available and includes $10 in food and beverage tickets.
