Teen earns Eagle Scout

Evan Murray, 16, received the Eagle Award, the highest award in Boy Scouting, during an Eagle Court of Honor last month in Thousand Oaks.

Evan is the son of Don and Jean Murrary of Thousand Oaks.

For his Eagle project, Evan landscaped the north side of the performing arts center at Thousand Oaks High School, where he is a junior. He led a crew of 35 Scouts, relatives and friends for a total of 159 hours of work.
