Santa Barbara courthouse serves as backdrop for art
      The ninth annual Santa Barbara Festival of Art will take place Fri. through Sun., Oct. 12 to 14 at the sunken gardens of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse at Anapamu and Anacapa streets. The festival starts at 5 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

      One of the most unique bands in the annals of rock made a local stop in Thousand Oaks last Saturday night when legendary British band Jethro Tull presented an exuberant, well-received show to a packed house at the Civic Arts Plaza's Kavli Theatre.
