Acacia Elementary hosts carnival, music fest

Acacia Elementary, a Title 1 school, will host its fourth annual MusicFest and Carnival, "Making Music Matter," from 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., Oct. 7 on the Acacia Elementary School campus, 55 W. Norman Ave. in Thousand Oaks.

The event will feature The Bruce Brothers Blues Band and include carnival games, inflatables and attractions, craft booths, silent auction, train and pony rides, and food concessions.

The New West Symphony Music Van will be on site.

This year's event will also include a community blood drive from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.

All proceeds will be used to support Acacia's music program with the creation of an interactive music lab on campus.
