Plan would ruin the natural beauty of Rancho Potrero

We fully oppose the 200-person pavilion and 100-space parking lot on Rancho Potrero for the purpose of renting it out for different functions and events.

The overwhelming majority of residents of Dos Vientos and Haciendas have spoken loud and clear: "Stop trying to ruin our serene and peaceful natural park for the sole purpose of monetary gain, which will destroy the quiet and natural land that our families moved to this area for."

Residents of Dos Vientos moved here because of the open space and the peaceful surroundings. This plan will destroy and abuse the natural beauty of Rancho Potrero.

Having 200 people including cars and buses, traffic jams, drinking alcohol, barbecuing, playing loud music, and all the other trouble that goes with such events will ruin our peace. It will also increase the danger of fire.

This plan is obscene and defeats the very purpose of acquiring open space. It will also cause a great deal of harm to the horses and wildlife.
