Local quilters will present show at CLU

Conejo Valley Quilters in Thousand Oaks will present their biannual quilt show, "A Gathering Under the Oaks," from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Oct. 13 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., Oct. 14 at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

A live quilt auction will take place at 2 p.m. during the Saturday show.

The show will feature a boutique, challenge quilts, a vendor mall, children's treasure hunt, sewing machine giveaway and more than 200 quilts.

Admission is $8. Parking is free.

Some of the proceeds will support the creation of quilts for Interface of Ventura County and the Alzheimer's Association.
