CVD theme contest underway

The theme contest for the 2008 Conejo Valley Days is underway.

More than 200 themes were submitted for the 2007 festival.

The winning theme for the 2008 CVD will be selected by the Conejo Valley Days Committee.

"Last year, the community showed overwhelming support for Conejo Valley Days," said Marty Campbell, 2008 CVD general chair. "The CVD theme should reflect that wonderful hometown spirit."

The winner of the contest will be announced in November.

The contest winner will receive four, all-inclusive five-day passes to the festival, which will be held April 30 through May 4, 2008. The passes will give the winner and three guests entry into the carnival and on-site events that require separate admission.

The winning theme will appear in advertising, posters, mailers and on the CVD website.
