Guests will enjoy drama production in TOHS theater I am writing this to let people know about a great opportunity to enjoy some culture in Thousand Oaks. As Nancy Needham reported in the Aug. 30 Thousand Oaks Acorn, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. this month at the T.O. High School Performing Arts Center, "Darwin in Malibu," a popular new play on both coasts and in London, is being performed. The troupe of four excellent actors includes Patrick Warburton, an accomplished film and T.V. star ("Seinfeld," "Family Guy," "Underdog" and a new TV series, "Rules of Engagement"), who is perfectly cast as a bullheaded Thomas Huxley. Gary Saderup appears as a laid-back Charles Darwin; Terry Fisher is great as the Bishop of Oxford; and Jennifer Tetlow as Sarah pours her heart into a "magic moment" at the end that left us glowing. These folks really put on a great show and deserve to be playing to a packed house. Also, this is a rare chance to see Mr. Warburton in community theater. I took my wife, Karen, Saturday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the discussions it sparked afterwards. It felt like a privilege to be there. I recommend this as a great evening out for overworked parents here in the Conejo Valley. Google "Darwin in Malibu" before you go. It'll give you a bit of knowledge on the subject and characters, most of whom are taken accurately out of 19th-century England.
