Many Mansions gets United Way grant

The United Way of Ventura County recently awarded Many Mansions a $10,000 Community Impact Grant for the 2007-08 fiscal year.

These grants are given to organizations who share their focus to achieve the Basic Needs Community Impact Goal of helping Ventura County residents meet their needs for "food, shelter, safety and independence."

Many Mansions will use the charitable grant to support Stoll House, a one to twoyear transitional housing program focused on temporarily housing homeless families and giving them the services they need to transition into permanent housing.

Services provided on site and free of charge include case management, service coordination, food assistance, educational training and transportation assistance.

Many Mansions is a nonprofit organization which manages nine apartment communities and provides affordable housing for more than 1,300 residents.
