Book club explores 'Soul Cravings'

The Joshua Tree Community, a new community of faith in the Conejo Valley, will host a book club beginning Sun., Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at Coffee 'N Dreams at the Janss Marketplace, 265 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

The discussion group will be exploring "Soul Cravings" by Erwin McManus.

According to event organizers, the author "takes us into a journey of the human spirit and explores our deepest cravings of our souls. In his book 'Soul Cravings' he tackles our biggest questions on intimacy, love, ambition, destiny, origin, meaning, life and death."

All are welcome, and copies of the book will be available. Subsequent gatherings will take place on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

The Joshua Tree Community's mission is to bring life to the world through a community of faith, hope and love. The group is a community of people seeking to know Jesus, to live life together in him and to serve others in his name. People from all walks of life, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey, are welcome.
