Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Witch's Curse' will be performed

The Ventura County Gilbert and Sullivan Repertoire Company will present "Ruddigore, or The Witch's Curse" Thursdays through Sundays Fri., Oct. 5 through Sun., Oct. 21 at the Theatre on the Hill, Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. There will be a Champagne Gala on opening night.

In the play, the baronets of Ruddigore are cursed and must commit a crime every day or die a horrible death. Robin Oakapple, a baronet in disguise, loves Rose Maybud, but his foster brother Richard also loves her, and outs Robin to the current baronet.

Robin now must answer to the ghosts of his ancestors, who insist he commit his daily crime.
