Toastmasters challenges speakers with contest

Nine Toastmaster clubs in Thousand Oaks and Moorpark will sponsor a Humorous and Evaluation Contest at 9 a.m. Sat., Sept. 22 at the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

The event will feature speakers who have already won in their local club competition, continental breakfast and a raffle for gift certificates at local merchants.

The winners of the Saturday competition will advance to the division contest on Oct. 20 which includes all clubs in Ventura County.

Admission at the door is $3.
