Newbury Park man pleads guilty to distribution and possession of child pornography

Richard Aluise, 35, of Newbury Park, recently pleaded guilty to one count of felony distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Photobucket.com, a photo sharing website, reported to law enforcement in November 2006 that a subscriber had uploaded child pornography to an account where others could access the pictures. An investigation identified Aluise as the subscriber, and his computer was seized.

A forensic examination showed Aluise had also uploaded child porn to a Yahoo messenger site that he controlled. Aluise would often pose as a young girl on Yahoo Messenger and other forums.

Aluise faces up to three years and eight months in state prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 15.
