Outlook: This game will take place Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the College of the Canyons.

After traveling to Hawaii two weeks ago to shut out Waipahu High 21-0, the Warriors will now look to keep up their defensive ways against Saugus.

In order to win, Warrior defensive standouts Justin Lilley and Kyle Oglesby will have to stop Centurion running back Ryan Zirbel, who rushed 25 times for 198 yards last week against Antelope Valley High.

On offense, look for WHS to get the ball often to senior running back Cooper Shockley, who rushed for 123 yards on 17 carries in the Warriors opening game of the season.

Rio Mesa (1-0) at

Newbury Park (1-0)

Outlook: After beating Camarillo last week, the Panthers will once again look to beat a Pacific View League powerhouse when it hosts Rio Mesa this week.

Last week the Panthers were led by junior running back Chris Brown, who rushed for 103 yards and also caught six passes for 66 yards.

Delivering those passes for NPHS was senior Colby Cameron, who began his senior year by tossing 16 completions for 135 yards.

If the Panthers want to remain unbeaten, they will have to stop Jordyn Aupui, who had a stellar game last week against San Marcos High by catching seven passes for 103 yards.

Malcolm Jones, RB, Oaks Christian: Jones continued to excel in his first year as a full-time starter by rushing 15 times for 129 yards while scoring two touchdowns. Jones also caught a touchdown pass.

Colby Cameron, QB, Newbury Park: Cameron completed 16 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown in his debut as a senior. Cameron also rushed four times for 10 yards.

Chris Brown, RB, Newbury Park: The junior did just about everything last week against Camarillo, rushing 21 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns while also catching six passes for 66 yards.
