Natural History Museum's September highlights
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County will present various activities this month. The museum is at 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles. Tickets are $9 for adults, $6.50 for students and seniors and $2 for children ages 5 to 12. Admission is free the first Tuesday of every month. A prop exhibit inspired by the film "Night at the Museum" will run through Sun., Sept. 16 in the Director's Gallery.
The 14th annual Hart of the West Native American Powwow will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 22 and Sun., Sept. 23 at the William S. Hart Museum in Newhall. Music, vendors, food and dance will be among the activities available. For more information, call (661) 255-9295.
The Spider Pavilion will be open from Sept. 23 to Nov. 4 in the South Lawn habitat. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 students and seniors and $1 for children ages 5 to 12. Tickets are sold in half-hour time slots throughout the day. Free admission for members.
