Little-known Haydn pieces performed

Eric Kinsley, a California Lutheran University professor, will perform little-known piano pieces by Franz Joseph Haydn in "Haydn, Out in the Open," a free concert at 4 p.m. Sun., Sept. 16 in CLU's Preus-Brandt Forum, 60 W. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.

While Haydn is best known for his symphonies, masses and oratorios, he also wrote about 60 piano sonatas, variations and keyboard works. Kinsley will perform these pieces as major works.

In addition to teaching piano at CLU, Kinsley is a performing artist and writer. He has received several grants in early and contemporary music.

Donations will be accepted.
