Navy Cmdr. Jeff Hyink recently graduated with distinction and received his master's degree from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif.

Hyink is a 1987 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School and the son of Sherrill and Cliff Hyink of Thousand Oaks. He received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.
