Community Foundation adds two to donor relations staff

The Ventura County Community Foundation announced an expansion of its donor relations and development staff with the additions of Ilana Ormond as director of planned giving and Catherine Lee as director of donor relations.

Ormond will serve as the foundation's liaison to the planned giving community and will join the faculty of the resource center for nonprofit management.

Ormond served for eight years as the director of planned giving for the Los Angeles Jewish Home in Reseda, Calif., worked as the senior development officer for the National Jewish Medical and Research Center's Western Region office in Sherman Oaks and served as the gift planning coordinator for the Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation.

After serving as a consultant to the Ventura County Community Foundation for several months, Lee was appointed director of donor relations.

Lee comes to the foundation from the River Valley Club, Adult Day Program in Santa Paula, where she served as executive director. She has also served as director of community relations for the Rubicon Theatre Company in Ventura and was executive director of the Montecito Association and Montecito Community Foundation.

The Ventura County Community Foundation is a family of charitable funds whose combined assets now exceed $100 million, with 2006 grants and pledges of $8.5 million. The foundation's mission is to promote and enable philanthropy to improve the community and to build long-term capital to benefit Ventura County.
