EFFORTS RECOGNIZED- Ruth Ann Johnson, center, from Sunnyvale, addresses the audience at the Cal Lutheran University opening convocation after receiving the Alma Mater service award. Johnson, who graduated in 1965, is flanked by Lynda Elmendorf from Fraser Park and the Rev. Howard Wennes, Interim president of CLU. The event was held on Tuesday. Classes started yesterday.
