Cancer workshop looks at living and loving

Wendy Basil will lead a free workshop addressing the intimacy issues of couples facing cancer diagnosis and treatment from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mon., Sept. 10 at the Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.

Basil will lead a discussion that will explore the emotional and physical aspects of intimacy, changes that can occur as a result of cancer treatment and how to keep intimacy alive during diagnosis, treatment and beyond.

Basil is a healthcare educator and doctoral candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara.
