Local residents earn degrees and academic honors

Local residents have achieved academic distinction at schools of higher education.

•Ryan Edberg of Newbury Park graduated from DePaul University in Chicago, Ill., this summer with a degree in stage management.

•Taylor MacDonald of Thousand Oaks graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications.

•Christy Lee Custer of Westlake Village was named to the dean's list for the spring 2007 semester at Trinity University.
