Conejo 4-H young people win at Ventura County Fair

The members of the Mount Boney 4-H Club of the Conejo Valley participated in the 132nd Ventura County Fair. Club members volunteered as docents in Uncle Leo's Barn, the Small Livestock Barn and in the Youth Expo Hall and exhibited their items made, raised or grown in their 4-H projects throughout the past year.
The club won a first place award for their Youth Feature Exhibit promoting Ventura County 4H clubs in the agricultural department.
Individual first place awards went to Amelia Meyer, Marirose Meyer, Leah Yarnell, Casey Yarnell, Kyla Vinson, Kathleen Bass, Brenda Bass, Emmaline Trockey and Katherine Trockey.
Best of Division and Best of Class winners are Amelia Meyer, Camille Duckett, Marirose Meyer, Gena Lipman, Kathleen Bass, Brenda Bass, Emmaline Trockey and Katherine Trockey.
Second place winners were Gena Lipman and Kyla Vinson's rabbit.
The 4-H youth program starts on Sept. 1.
