In broad daylight, man robs two at gunpoint

An unidentified man confronted a customer and employee on Monday, showed a gun and stole jewelry and cash.

At 3:54 p.m. Aug. 5, a female customer entered the Décor Store in the 3900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. She was followed by the suspect, who was described as a white male (5-10, 175) in his 30s with short brown hair and wearing a gray baseball cap and a white T-shirt with printing on the front.

As the woman browsed the store for about 30 minutes, the suspect occasionally engaged her in conversation while posing as another customer. When the victim was being helped by an employee, the suspect pointed a gun at both women and demanded their jewelry. He ran from the store with the customer's ring, wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery is asked to call (805) 494-8201.
