Auditions open for comedy

Conejo Players Theatre will hold auditions for "You Can't Take It With You" at 7:30 p.m. Sun. through Tues., Aug. 26 to 28 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Callbacks will be at 7 p.m. Wed., Aug. 29.

All roles are open. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. No appointment is necessary. There is no pay.

Performances will be Nov. 16 through Dec. 15.

The comedy was written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. The play relates the humorous encounter between a conservative family and the crazy household of Grandpa Martin Vanderhof. Grandpa's family, full of idiosyncratic individualists, amuses with their energetic physical antics and inspires with their wholehearted pursuit of happiness.
