Conejo Players Theatre will present the hot musical comedy, '110 in the Shade'

Conejo Players Theatre will present the musical "110 in the Shade," based on the comedy "The Rainmaker" by N. Richard Nash, Aug. 24 through Sept. 22 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Performance times are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.

The music is by Harvey Schmidt with lyrics by Tom Jones and book by N. Richard Nash. The show is directed by Zachary Spencer.

The story takes place in 1933 during the dust bowl times in a small, drought-stricken town. The lives of the Curry family and the rest of the townsfolk are affected by Starbuck, a con man on the run from the law who promises he can bring rain within 24 hours.

The cast includes Patrick Foley, Melora Hutton, Jim Seerden, Dustin Valasquez, James Cluster, Aaron Vidal, John Bracos, Abby Collins, Bennie Glasner, Tori Glasner, Penny Krevenas, Brandi Raibley, Linda Shaver, Selby Schnobrich, Kay Zimmerman and Jonathan Scott.

Tickets are $14 Thursdays, $16 Fridays and Sundays, and $18 Saturdays and opening night. Parking is free.
