Robotics camp to be held next week

The third annual Robotics camp and workshop will be presented 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 6 through 10 at Sophie's Education Corner in Palm Plaza, 2699 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. The camp will break into two groups, ages 7 through 10 and 11 through 14.

Both will use California science standards to create robots, robotic creatures and robotic vehicles. Goals and objectives will be created by setting tasks using Robotix kits. Participants will realize the importance of math, science and engineering while working individually and on teams.
